WinterFest 2018

WinterFest is Columbus State University’s annual evening of winter wonderland fun. The FREE holiday extravaganza brings together families, students, alumni and community members to start the holiday season with Santa, snow and a show.

WinterFest features performances from local schools and community groups; hot chocolate and sweet treats; campus lighting ceremony; and photos with Santa and Elsa from the Disney movie “Frozen.”

WinterFest is a celebration of all religions, cultures and traditions.

WinterFest is co-sponsored by the Alumni Association of Columbus State University.

Location

WinterFest will be celebrated around the iconic Thomas Y. Whitley Clock Tower on CSU’s main campus, 4225 University Ave.

Admission

Admission and access to all WinterFest attractions is FREE. There will be a small charge for food.

Parking

Columbus State University police officers will be stationed at campus entrances to direct traffic and parking.

Food

During Winterfest, the CSU Dining Hall will provide a Winterfeast for $5.00 per person. In addition to the Cougar Cafe, on-campus food options will also include: Chick-fil-A, Subway, and food trucks.

 

Pet Policy

For safety and sanitation, pets, except for service animals with documentation, will not be allowed on campus during WinterFest.

Tips and Tricks

  • Bring a lawn chair or a blanket to watch the performances.
  • Consider using some of CSU’s lesser-known entrances off Algonquin Drive for quicker access to parking.
  • ATM will be available at WinterFest.

Cougars for Causes

Please drop a canned good, unwrapped toy or toiletry item in one of the many collection bins at WinterFest to donate to Cougars for Causes, a campus-wide collection drive sponsored by Columbus State University Police. Your donations will be collected and distributed to Columbus area charities and not-for-profit centers.
